Stay elsewhere........unless you like filth - from TripAdvisor.com
I booked the "Park Model" for one night with my three adult daughters on our way to Yellowstone Park. It had a double bed/master bedroom, two futons in the living room, full kitchen and bath with shower, and loft with two more beds at $70+tax/night.
No one told us how to turn on the propane for the hot water. The two beds in the loft, which was actually a crawl space, were a couple of old foam mattresses on the floor, both futons in the living room were disgustingly filthy. The covers were so dirty that no one wanted to sleep on them. We tried to remove them to wash them ourselves but the futon mattresses were just as bad. Horrible spots from who knows what, even crumbs of food! My daughter slept on the floor, it was cleaner than the futons. My other two daughters scaled the ladder up to the "loft" crawl space and could barely fit their two duffles up there. Upon getting up there one of my daughters found an entire week's worth of pills/medications in a daily dispenser. Thank goodness a little child didn't find them first! I left the drugs at the office with a note about them and the filth but I never received a reply from the people in charge, nor did we receive the usual survey asking about our stay as the other KOA's do, gee, I wonder why? We use the KOA's regularly and this was by far the worse and filthiest place we've seen. We won't be back, too bad because it's nice to be at the foot of the tower. We didn't even use the shower, that was dirty, too, with soap scum. If you don't care about cleanliness, this is the place for you.

The Stinkiest Dirtiest KOA Sewer near Cabins! - from TripAdvisor.com
If you love the smell of poop and sewage, stay at the Devils Tower KOA in Wyoming! We stayed in a one room Kamp Kabin, for one night thank goodness! Devil's Tower KOA capitalizes on the Sturgis Bike week with their store, cafe and their campground /w cabins. Problem was they would not fix their sewer system, nor would they acknowledge they had a problem! We were very upset because we were the first to contact the owner for reservations back in December or January, but she put us in the cabin closest to their above ground sewer pool (it really didn't matter which cabin, as the wind drifted the stench everywhere on the property)! The smell was so bad that I found myself doing a few dry heaves. We have never Stayed at a KOA that was as bad as this property.... We couldn't wait to pack up and head out the next morning! Also, the owners didn't provide the property with enough water for the lawn so it had many yellow patches. The showers were dirty, the counters and sinks were filthy with dead flying insects from the night before, the bathroom didn't have a protecting screen or heavy door that closed during the night. The hosts or their employees were not friendly, except the morning waitresses. Location is great - KOA needs to get this fixed!
