Sherwood Forest a lot of fun! - from TripAdvisor.com

My family camped for the first time at Sherwood Forest Campground over Memorial weekend and we had a great time! They have a really nice heated pool and a kiddie pool for your little ones. My kids ages 7 & 10 also enjoyed the gameroom and playgrounds. Our favorite part of our stay was how wooded and secluded the campground was. It was like we where actually in a forest which is hard to believe since the campground is within walking distance of downtown Dells. If you walk up towards the shower house there is a road that you can walk that will take you right to Pirates Cove golfing and to the downtown area of the Dells. I would recommend this campground to anyone who wants to be close to the downtown area but still like the wooded forest feeling of camping!

Stayed at Sherwood Forest RV Park over Wo-Zah-Wa weekend and were pleasantly surprised with the primitive sites for a campground so close to downtown. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. I would question the three block walk to downtown as it seemed a bit further than that, but still worth it to leave your car at the campground so not to fight with traffic. Would stay there again if in the area.
