3.0 stars3.0 stars3.0 stars3.0 stars3.0 stars Comfortable, rustic cabins - from TripAdvisor.com
My husband, 2 teenage boys, our dog and I just returned from Nordic Pines Resort a few days ago. We loved it. The cabins are old, but clean. The beds were comfortable and each boy had his own room. The cabins are a little worn, but we didn't encounter any bugs. We loved having our own little kitchen and the bathroom looked brand new with it's own shower and hot water supply. I brought way more kitchen stuff than I needed. There were 2 fry pans, a full set of dishes and cutlery, a toaster and a coffee pot. Big fridge too. Gas stove with 4 burners, an oven and broiler pan. Clean bedding with extra if needed. Bring your own towels tho. We were in cabin #7. It has 3 bedrooms and a common area plus kitchen. You have your own picnic table plus 2 chairs outside. We loved the fact that we could bring our family dog. If you want fancy, go down the road to Rustic Ridge (and pay a heck of a lot more too). NP was literally across the street from Devils Lake Park you could easily walk if you had to. The only thing we really didn't like is that our cabin was about 30 feet from a pretty big road. The road was quiet after about midnight, but during the day and evening, there's a lot of cars and campers. Otherwise, we loved it.

2.0 stars2.0 stars2.0 stars2.0 stars2.0 stars Over-priced for what you get - from TripAdvisor.com
Resort is a stretch - we weren't expecting much - but got even less. We have a 8 month son and we were afraid to let him crawl on the floors they were so dirty. Overall - the place was musty, damp and run down and the beds were sunken in the middle like a canoe.

It is close to the park - but it seems for the price you could find a better place to stay.

4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars A pleasant place to be - from TripAdvisor.com
My husband and I and our 4 kids stayed comfortably in cabin #4 at Nordic Pines. It is a 2 bedroom cabin. Curtains are used for room dividers. I found it to be very nice. Little extras were helpful, such as a supply of toilet paper, coffee machine, and even some paper cups and bowls. They also had some lovely plateware and tea cups, silverware, etc. Two of our kids slept on the futon. It is a short futon, so it wouldn't have worked for adults. But the beds were comfortable, with pillows and a comforter. When you're used to camping, this is such a nice change. Our cabin had a large refrigerator, a stove and sink/counter area. Lots of windows are nice. It was spaced enough for privacy from other cabins. Great location, very close to Devil's lake, and just a 5 min. drive from Boo Canoe rafting. We had a great experience. The only draw back for this particular cabin, was that it faced a busy road. People would drive by honking and waving, and our kids got into that. But as far as the privacy that one would expect with a cabin, the street takes that away. Across the street is a wooded area.
The outside area around the cabin was fully shaded by pine trees.
The people running Nordic Pines were friendly. It was such a pleasant stay, that we wished we could have stayed longer.

1.0 stars1.0 stars1.0 stars1.0 stars1.0 stars Absolutely Terrible - from TripAdvisor.com
I stayed at Nordic Pines Campground 3 years ago and it was really nice back then. I believe they sold some of the cottages we stayed to someone else so unfortunately we had to stay at this dump for one night. This cottage is supposed to be a 2 bedroom with a nice and clean sitting area. Well forget about that.! The bedrooms didn't have doors. I couldn't believe that. If you are in this dump as 2 couples, you literally need to ask everyone to close their eyes when you are changing your clothes. The second big negative was the absence of heat. When I booked the place they never told me that they didn't have heat. (3 years ago the old cottages they had had heat.) They put one of these electric radiators to warm up a 2 bedroom place. It was unreal. We froze the first night we stayed. The second day I called the reception and complained about not having heat. She said they usually tell their guests that they have no heat. Unfortunately they never told me that. Without an argument they let us check out right away. We had to pay for the first night but we didn't have to stay for the rest of our trip. I do not recommend this place unless you don't mind staying in a dump place with no heat and no privacy.

4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars New Management - from TripAdvisor.com
Our recent visit to Nordic Pines Family Campground uncovered a new, helpful management team that has great plans for the resort and campground. (When we got stuck in the mud after a rainy week in June, their maintenance man made sure we got out!) Next year they will have a newly renovated resort area. Currently, they are in contact with a group that runs team-building exploration adventures canoing, rock climbing, etc... We are taking two groups back with us before the summer is out!

5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars Excellent getaway - from TripAdvisor.com
If your looking to get away for a weekend or even a full week, Nordic Pines Resort is a fine place to stay. If your looking for the Ritz stay somewhere overpriced in the Dells. At Nordic you can walk to the lake in about 10 minutes and take it all in. This area is truly Gods Country.

1.0 stars1.0 stars1.0 stars1.0 stars1.0 stars Avoid Nordic Pines - from TripAdvisor.com
If you want any type of comfort, avoid Nordic Pines in Baraboo Wisconsin. They have a campsites and cabins for rent. The cabins are old, small ,with crooked floors and uncomfortable beds. The campsites were full so I guess they are ok for those that like camping. If you expect any type of comfort however, avoid the cabins. If you like roughing it though, the cabins offer less comfort then a camper so go for it.The only saving grace for Nordic Pines is it is right across the street from Devil's Lake state park so you can walk there.
