4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars Walking Distance from Everything! - from TripAdvisor.com
We were set up at The American World Hotel by a timeshare company.

Walking distance to several popular parks such as Mt. Olympus, Riverview & Water World, Deer Park, Top Secret. and other.

We tried and check in early (12p), which hotel host was friendly and helpful but unable (hotel check in time 4p). We did an extra day for $129 with Mt. Olympus 2 day pass tickets which was a plus. Hotel room was very clean and comfortable beds. Indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, game room and also a sauna.

But I would stay there again!

only a few bad things i saw: vending machines were 75% empty, hotel's alarm clock did not work, pool room was cold and no iron inside the room.

3.0 stars3.0 stars3.0 stars3.0 stars3.0 stars Acceptable with park tickets - from TripAdvisor.com
We were pleased with our stay. It was acceptable accommodations for the two nights were stayed there. The bed was unexpectedly very comfortable and the room suited our needs. We were in need of a room at 10pm on a Friday night and they had vacancies andthey offered 2day Mt. Olympus all access passes included in the price of the room. We were very happy with that and it worked out for the best. The hotel is in a good central location and right next to Riverview and basically across the street from Mt Olympus. Myself, my 3yr old daughter and I had a great trip. We had a double queen bed room with a table and two chairs, small fridge and microwave. Overall - good.

4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars Happy with American World Resort & RV Park - from TripAdvisor.com
Spent 4 days in this resort-smoking room, with decent size frig, a small microwave, and small in-room coffee maker. We were pleased with the accommodations for the price. We had a queen bed, a sofabed, desk & table/chairs. The room was clean, during our stay it could have been done a bit better (forgot to empty ashtray on day), but bd always done, garbage out, fresh towels, etc. For less than 300.00 for 4 nights, with assorted pools, and room features, we would return again if we were in the area. We were given old towels for drying our motorcycles when I spoke to front desk, they were happy to furnish assistance as needed.

2.0 stars2.0 stars2.0 stars2.0 stars2.0 stars i'll look elsewhere - from TripAdvisor.com
My family stayed at American World & RV Park in August 2006 for $64/nite and had a great time. Based on that experience we re-booked in August 2007 and found the prices considerably higher at $139/night. Our room was in the newer non-smoking section and was ok but not enough so to justify the huge increase. Our tv worked about half the time with a fuzzy picture, the toilet ran continually until I fixed it, the complimentary breakfast was horrible with only sugar doughnuts, oatmeal and coffee or juice. Their big selling point is the complimentary tickets to Mt. Olympus included in the $139 price. Tickets cost $31 at the Mt. Olympus gates and you can can the 2nd day for $16. Do the math and you'll find it's not such a great deal. Next time we'll look elsewhere for a better deal.

Called the front desk at 7:00 am asking if I could change my two night stay into a one night due to a 1 year old being ill (103 fever) I was told no problem just check out before 10am.. Got to office at 9:30am and got a run around saying I had to pay for both nights - after 10 min. of back and forth ended up paying $20 extra.. If that's the policy then fine but don't tell me otherwise on the phone. With so many places to stay in the dells you'd think hotels would really push service! I'd have stayed here again but not now. Good luck!

We have a travel trailer and stay at American World about 6 times per year. It is very affordable and has all of the amenities that we need and want. In the summer there is an outdoor pool as well as two indoor pools with hot tubs! My kids love it here. We can stay in our trailer and save money for doing other things in the Dells. It is better than most campgrounds because how many campgrounds are open all year and have hot tubs and indoor pools? We go in the winter just to use the indoor pools! Keep up the great job and thanks for making the Dells and affordable experience for families with more than two children!

4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars Very nice for the price! - from TripAdvisor.com
Our family of four stayed here this past Saturday night, after an impulsive decision to take a quick getaway to treat our small kids. We didn't expect much for the $39 a night price, but we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were much nicer than pictured, so I'm guessing they have recently done some updating of decor. We had two queen beds, which were comfortable, a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and tv with all the cable channels. The pool and hot tub were plenty big, clean and very warm, which was perfect in the freezing month of February. They have a small game room and a nice assortment of vending machines to keep the little ones happy. We had to bring our own hair dryer and pool towels, but we expected that for an economy hotel. Everyone was friendly and accommodating and we would certainly return in the future.
