Worst campsite ever - from TripAdvisor.com
|
|
I have been a camper and a backpacker for over 30 years, and this was the worst campsite I have ever had to spend a night in. The so-called tent sites were mostly on a hill, strewn with gravel and debris from other campers. I would think that tent sites, not being able to self-level, would benefit from being on level ground, but the management thought being able to charge for every square inch of ground would be more beneficial. Parking Lot Camping - from TripAdvisor.com

I'll admit up front this was my first stay at a KOA campground, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. Regardless, I can say that staying here was the most expensive camping I've ever done. KOA fun - from TripAdvisor.com

We stayed at the Harpers Ferry KOA for a week. Lots of things to do, gameroom, crafts/games for the kids, big pool, snack bar, big campstore. They also had themed weekends. We hit the Western and Prince/Princess ones. Only prob were cabins' 32/33. These are two room cabins that face each other very close, with no relax area.

They are adding some new features for the kids (an in ground balloon style trampoline) and have been adding cabins too. The place has really brightened up over the last couple of years. The area has lots...

Like Camping in Traffic - from TripAdvisor.com

Stay away from the KOA at Harpers Ferry unless you are looking for a densely populated experience camping in traffic. Loud, tacky, noisy, crowded, close, horrible.
