After five years of enjoying Lake Mayfield Marina Resort & RV Park, we were informed this memorial weekend that this has become a members only resort-if not, get out! Lewis County is one of the many struggling counties due to timber industry and mining closures and it is hard to believe that the new Owner's-believes their property is so valuable that is is a members only park. This camping location is scenic ... however you need to beware of the bears aka the two legged ones that espouse they own the place. I have never been treated so rudely in my life by people who don't even know me. I tried to be respectful, but their attitudes about the marina is hostile and overbearing when I just had questions I wanted answered they refused to answer even simple questions and then would just walk away and put their hand up...

Took my wife for a night away from home, and some outdoor activities. It was a bit cold, but the sun was shining, and we really enjoyed hiking around the lake. Lots of wildlife, including a couple of resident eagles. Everything is very clean and pristine too.

We have stayed here previously and had a miserable experience with owner. We love the area but could not deal with the owner. I was told I should try again as the new management made a difference ... and it did.
Still a beautiful area, but now a great place to stay. New management was fantastic, we felt welcome and appreciated. New facilities are great, new rooms are comfortable. We will come back again and again.

This was our very first visit to Lake Mayfield RV Park. We stayed in Johnson Terrace, a brand new building. The room was very clean, but very small. Though new, the bed wasn't all that comfortable. There is a huge deck with a lovely view. The new managers of the place had only been there about 2 weeks. We were treated in a very friendly manner, like we were personally welcomed guests. We had the most wonderful Stay at Lake Mayfield Resort and Marina. I had seen the resort 7 years ago and could not believe my eyes when we arrived last week. Wow one of the nicest lake front camping resorts! Every thing so clean, friendly staff wonderful new rooms with splendid rooms, boardwalk and all new docks and boat slips. We can't wait to come back in the spring!

Wanted to rent RV site and phone call was returned they would not rent to us. We are new property owners in the area and wanted to rent a site for our trailer we just purchased, as we had no other location ready on our lot in the area. No reason was given just stated they would not rent to us. Small community ... small minds. We were however invited to become members for thousands of dollars more!
