Very Sad Friday 8/26/2011.. Irene is pulling her weight with us. Our Park Will be closing on Aug. 27th. Our Ranger feel its best to be safe then to have to fret the After mass..So Sad for Our Camper. But best to be safe.. See you all Labor Day Weekend... If Irene treats us well..

In all fairness, it's clean and well maintained and the facilities are within a short walk of every site. The sites are flat with plenty of grass that's kept mowed. By far, my biggest gripe is that Wi-Fi access is expensive. Most other campgrounds provide WiFi as a courtesy. By contrast, Lone Pine charges $5.00 for three hours. That works out to $1.67 per hour for something that's normally included in the price of the site. (Charging for WiFi does not make Lone Pine sites less expensive than their competitors.) This left me with the impression the campground is out to skim as much money from campers as possible. All in all, I could have dealt with everything but the expensive WiFi. I didn't subscribe out of principle (I don't like being a victim or a sucker.), and that left a bad taste in my mouth. That said, I would not recommend this campground. stars Moose River Campground - St. Johnsbury, Vermont Posted by Amanda on 1/1/2010
Fantastic Campground
We stayed here last summer, 2009, in a 5th wheel and felt that we had gone home. The atmosphere here was great, the campers here were extremely friendly and since we arrived on a Thursday, decided to stay for the weekend and their activities. Had a wonderful time, and they had a great band on Saturday night. The campground is extremely clean, the gardens were beautiful, and the buildings were neat and clean. Bathhouse older, but very clean and up to date. We checked out the bathrooms and the showers were free. GReat free high speed internet right in our camper! Overall a great place to stay! stars Winhall Brook Campground - Jamaica, Vermont Posted by Elbillct on 3/16/2008
Winhall Brook Campground
We stay at Winhall Brook during the West River spring and fall releases for a whitewater weekend from the nearby Ball Mountain Dam. We choose Winhall over the Jamaica State Park which is nice but noisy due to the festivities. The campground is very clean, the sites are not well worn dirt sites with visible tree roots but are plush, green sites that everyone appreciates. We always select the sites at the end that are for tents, pop ups and RV's so we can see our friends. There are no hookups in this area. It is a wide open grassed area and is a pleasure to camp on-tents or otherwise.
