Very Sad Friday 8/26/2011.. Irene is pulling her weight with us. Our Park Will be closing on Aug. 27th. Our Ranger feel its best to be safe then to have to fret the After mass..So Sad for Our Camper. But best to be safe.. See you all Labor Day Weekend... If Irene treats us well..

We stay at Winhall Brook during the West River spring and fall releases for a whitewater weekend from the nearby Ball Mountain Dam. We choose Winhall over the Jamaica State Park which is nice but noisy due to the festivities. The campground is very clean,the sites are not well worn dirt sites with visible tree roots but are plush,green sites that everyone appreciates. Winhall Brook campsite is a perfect fit for anyone. Kids or adults there is plenty for everyone. Beautiful grass campsites, no dirty pine needle ridden campsites that are too often the case. The fishing isn't that great but I will find some fish in that river one of these years. I recommend this to anyone no matter what the age.

I have been camping at Winhall Brook Campground for at least 3 years. It is a great family trip because the kids can swim, play on the playground, go see a movie at the amphitheater, and even go take a hike to the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever seen. I think it was the most relaxing and enjoyable trip I have ever been on.

I have been camping at Winhall Brook Campgrounds for 21 years almost every summer. It was free until about 10 years ago, but the current fees are very reasonable particularly for what you get.
Great biking trails, hiking trails, fishing and swimming holes. Not a lot of evening entertainment, but hey, it's camping. The grounds are impeccable. Kids movies on Saturday night. All other camp grounds that I have tried pale in comparison. Although I...
