Great Campground Biring Quarters! - from TripAdvisor.com
We stayed here 7/18/08-7/20/08 for the Vermont Brewer's Festival. We really enjoyed the beach and they have a great playground if you have kids. There were just afew things that were kind of annoying. First, The campsites are very close together and they mix RV's W/ tents. Next, The showers take quarters! .50 for 6 minutes. (I think you actually get just a bit longer) Not a big deal just wish I'd known sooner. Some sites didn't have grates on the fire rings, which made it difficult to cook. It's super close to the waterfront park (walkable/bikeable), and it's right on Lake Champlain. Would definitely stay again.

Great for kids/families - from TripAdvisor.com
Nice small camp ground in the middle of Burlington.
Close to everything when needed. (Vermont Teddy Bear Company, Echo Water Center - great for the kids and Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Tour (20 mins away).
Perfect for families with little ones under 12. Beautiful Beach only a 5 min walk from any campsite. 2 perfect play parks for the kids also and with the staff not really tolerating any "issues" (i.e. loud music or obnoxious people.. wish is great when with kids.
Only down side was beach can great busy since it is so close to downtown Burlington. And that they allowed dogs on the beach with a collar. For me Dogs do not belong on beaches with kids.

Would stay there again - from TripAdvisor.com

We had a fine time at the North Beach campground aside from horrible weather. The sites are small and not secluded, but for being so close to downtown we didn't mind at all. Being right near the beach is a plus and pets are allowed, which can be great if you have a dog or a nightmare if other dogs are barking all night. Their map is horrible and sites aren't well marked, we set up our tent on the wrong site the first time, but it was no big deal. We will definitely go back there next year.

Not what I expected... - from TripAdvisor.com
I was not very impressed with North Beach Campground. The sites are right on top of each other, and they are not secluded at all. There were many dogs on the grounds, which were constantly barking - most notably at 7:30am when I was still sleeping. The employees responded quickly to complaints made by other campers about one particular dog, although the dog continued on through the day anyway. The location is great, being only a few short minutes from downtown Burlington, as well as being right on the lake.
Pros: Location - right on the lake and near downtown Bathrooms are large and clean
Cons: Sites are too close together Sites have no privacy

The Nicest Campground in the Area - from TripAdvisor.com
I've been going at North Beach Campground for the last 10 years and it is the most beautiful campground in the area. The beach on Lake Champlain is incredible, the campground is clean, quiet and the staff very friendly. The rates are very affordable for what you get, and it is conveniently located, near Downtown Burlington. There's a nice bike path leading to the city. Each year I look forward to go camping there. Go and you'll see!

Great Camping in the City - from TripAdvisor.com
I can't imagine there are many camp grounds in the middle of a city, so we were really lucky to find North Beach. The rates were a little high, but you get what you pay for. Nice bathrooms, a firepit, volley ball court (for the kids!), security and a 5 minute walk from a huge beach on Lake Champlain. Plus your a quick drive from downtown Burlington and its wonderful restaurants and shops. We were there on a Thursday night, and there were nearly 20 bands playing at different bars and cafes pretty impressive for a small college town. The only down side to the grounds in that its across a small ravine from a cemetery kinda spooky to leave your tent at 3am to go to the bathroom! Anyway, it was cheaper than a hotel and still felt "in the woods" considering your in the middle of the city.
