Very quiet - not bad - from TripAdvisor.com

Visited Harvey's Lake Campground Labor Day weekend. We own a pop-up camper. We were assigned to site 38 - the electricity did not work but we were given an extension cord to plug into the site next to us. It worked out fine. The site was not equipped for a pop-up camper however. It was small, a bit muddy and had lots of roots. We had to actually push the camper by hand to get the back of it in line with the water and electricity. The campground was full and surprisingly it was very quiet. The crows were not bad (compared to what we've encountered elsewhere), the loons were quiet and the bugs were very minimal. The showers were in excellent shape and water pressure was okay, though I don't think there is enough hot water for a very long shower. The only complaint I had about the showers was that there was no hook to hang your towel and/clothes on. You had to fling them over the shower curtain. The lake was okay. Our site was near the river and we kayaked to the lake. The beach area was pathetic very very shallow (I'm talking not past your ankles) and mucky. You had to go out quite a ways to actually swim. No sandy bottom at all. The owners were very nice, they actually gave us a choice of 3 sites when we checked in but we stuck with the original #38. All in all, I would stay there again, but a different site. Site #39 and #40 are awesome! If you want quiet, this is the place for you.
