Great Campground Biring Quarters!
We stayed here 7/18/08-7/20/08 for the Vermont Brewer's Festival. We really enjoyed the beach and they have a great playground if you have kids. There were just afew things that were kind of annoying. First, The campsites are very close together and they mix RV's W/ tents. Next, The showers take quarters! .50 for 6 minutes. (I think you actually get just a bit longer) Not a big deal just wish I'd known sooner. Some sites didn't have grates on the fire rings, which made it difficult to cook. It's super close to the waterfront park (walkable/bikeable), and it's right on Lake Champlain. Would definitely stay again.

Great for kids/families
Nice small camp ground in the middle of Burlington.
Close to everything when needed. (Vermont Teddy Bear Company, Echo Water Center - great for the kids and Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Tour (20 mins away).
Perfect for families with little ones under 12. Beautiful Beach only a 5 min walk from any campsite. 2 perfect play parks for the kids also and with the staff not really tolerating any "issues" (i.e. loud music or obnoxious people.. wish is great when with kids.
Only down side was beach can great busy since it is so close to downtown Burlington. And that they allowed dogs on the beach with a collar. For me Dogs do not belong on beaches with kids.

Best place to go
Winhall Brook is by far the best campground in the northeast. if you like to "ruff it" with added amenities, then this is the place for you. Located between two rivers, Winhall is one heck of a place to vacation. Located within the premises there is horseshoes, volleyball courts, and amphitheater, a sports field, and tons of hiking, walking, and biking trails to venture. Just 10 minutes down the road is where you will find the local grocery store. And, if you want even more excitement, check out Bromeley. There, you experience the region in a whole new way. Green slopes give way to extreme alpine sliding and amusements such as spacebikes, water slides, and other rides. In the campground there are countless numbers of sites that are pleasing. All sites are different. However, each site offers something new to the camping experience. Tubing through the rivers will be fun for all ages!

Winhall Brook Campground
We stay at Winhall Brook during the West River spring and fall releases for a whitewater weekend from the nearby Ball Mountain Dam. We choose Winhall over the Jamaica State Park which is nice but noisy due to the festivities. The campground is very clean, the sites are not well worn dirt sites with visible tree roots but are plush, green sites that everyone appreciates. We always select the sites at the end that are for tents, pop ups and RV's so we can see our friends. There are no hookups in this area. It is a wide open grassed area and is a pleasure to camp on-tents or otherwise.

A Gem
What a gem in Brattleboro this campground is. You will find from the time you check in, until you check out, the owners will do their best to make you welcome. The new owners, Ernie, Beverly and their son Justin, are great hosts and will do their best to accommodate your needs. We went to this campground with an old television that had trouble picking up the cable stations. Once Ernie found out our issue, he promptly came by on his golf cart, and low and behold, provided us with a television we could use for our weeks stay. We couldn't thank him enough for his personal attention.
The roads are in excellent shape, and the sites are well spaced and thought out. The campground is so clean, you could eat off the grass!
There aren't many activities yet, but the owners promise to add more and more as they get their feet wet as new owners. There is a pool, which was very well kept. There is also a play area for the children.
This campground is quiet and nice for adults especially. We have stayed at the campground 3 times and are planning another visit in May, 2008.
Don't overlook this one, you'll be sorry you did.
