Nice campground
|

Clean restrooms, quiet, lots of trees, large lots, beautiful view, dock to fish off of, dam less than 1 mile, Sequatie river about 4 miles maybe, and there is battlecreek, just a couple more miles, its surrounded by the best fishing places, the friendliest husband and wife managers, playground for the little kids.

Wonderful place

Just letting everyone know that we are still open and enjoying our great campground. We are right beside Nickajack Dam so you can fish on either side of the dam. We have the cleanest bath house in the area. Come see us.

We have been camping at Shellmound for several years. The current camp graound manager "Mickie" has made huge improvements to the grounds. She and her staff are warm and very helpful. The location is breath taking. If you do not want to cook there are several options in Kimball(located 10 min. away). If you are sight seeing Chattanooga is a quick 30 min. drive, you can get to Alabama in 20 min. They have a play ground for children, lots of...

Fabulous value

You simply will not believe the beautiful view you have of the water from this campground. The folks that run it are terrific and take care of their guests as if they were family. Since a good percentage of the people using the camp stay for longer periods you will find a very neighborly atmosphere.
In my experience, they are also charging prices that are less than market. What a superb value!
