Tent Campers Beware - from TripAdvisor.com
Cavern is a must see. The campground is a must bypass. My family tent camps and found the facilities lacking the advertised charms. The tent sites are extremely close together. You are unable to have a private conversation as your neighbors are so close they can hear you in even the most normal tones. As another reviewer commented camp workers are teenagers, the advertised bathhouse-restroom is dimly lit and the hand dryer did not work. The...

Nice place, rude staff - from TripAdvisor.com
The location was great and the scenery is nice but... I don't think we will be returning. We arrived late and our first encounter with the campsite manager was very unpleasant. When we arrived it was during the night we were unsure where our campsite was so when we were approached by the campsite manager we were glad. He appeared irritated with us told my husband " Is this yours (pointing at our motor home) he was rude and could care less that...

Watch out when camping here - from TripAdvisor.com
We reserved a camp site in advance and when we got there the park was rather nice. The people however were were very disorganized. We reserved the site for four days initially but when we got there we decided to stay an additional day. The manager said it was ok to stay and there was no problem but on the fourth day we got kicked out. Evidently there was an event happening and they double booked our site. You can imagine that it ruined our...

Pretty Good Stay - from TripAdvisor.com
The grounds at Raccoon Mountain are pretty good and is in an excellent location. We rented out Cabin #1 (which I understand is now called Cabin #5 since they remodeled it prior to our visit). The cabin came with bed linens which was a nice surprise as they stated it did not when we reserved it. The new construction on this cabin is pieced and not done professionally. You can see the outside all around the front door jamb and the bathroom door...

Big time traveler - from TripAdvisor.com
Saw a lot of things that could be made better at Raccoon Mountain. Some pets were allowed off leash, which is not a safe thing. A lot of drinking going on late at night, quite noisy at times at night. Most people were very nice but there were a few who did not take pride in their sites. Pool was nice and grounds fairly well kept.

Wow - from TripAdvisor.com

This was one of the best experiences my boys have ever had. Great location, only minutes from downtown, pool, playground, great bathhouse facilities, cave gem panning and a hell of a Go Kart track. We will go back ever chance we get. I would recommend this park to anyone. They also had one of the most friendly staffs in the camping business we have found yet. We have a big camper, a 40' motor home towing and had no problem making turns in the...

Camping Advice - from TripAdvisor.com
Over booked the more expensive cabin, so they offered me the cheaper cabin free for the night. No fridge, no t.v., lots of quality time with my children. The next night, got to rent the more expensive cabin. Kids glued to t.v. all night. The next time I go, I will be booking the cheaper cabin. As far as the camp ground goes, I was surprised at how clean the hiking trails were. The pool was great and clean too. Very helpful and friendly staff. I...

We Will Go Back - from TripAdvisor.com

My family decided to camp out for the weekend. We had an excellent time with the Cave, Gemstones, Go-Karts, & Batting Cages. The pool & grounds were well kept. The bathrooms were also in excellent shape. This is a great place to take the family for fun and relaxation. Would highly recommend and am planning a trip back soon. It was fun!
