My family stayed for two nights here with two pets. One thing I didn't like was the fact that I booked my site on the internet, anyone who has booked a KOA on the internet knows that they ask you about slides on your RV and if you have pets. They booked me in a site that had trees closely on both sides of the site (I couldn't use my awning or shades on my slide windows). Also I prepaid for the site on the internet but as I arrived they informed me that I would have to pay cash for my pets before checking in (I thought that is why they ask you on the website if you have pets!). You should be informed beforehand because if you change your mind there they charge you for full price for canceling!

My family and I stayed in this campground for two nights on our way to the Smoky Mountains. The GPS brought us through the town of Trenton. Not much to look at, but our minds sure changed when we arrived at the KOA. Nestled in a wooded setting, we were pleasantly pleased. The staff was great! At check in, we were told of a shortcut to the interstate, bypassing the town, which we used the rest of the stay. After purchasing our discount tickets to Lookout Mtn, Rock City, Ruby Falls and the Incline Railroad, we were given accurate directions. The owners and staff were super nice and downright friendly. The campground was spacious and super clean. We were given a great shady and level campsite for our travel trailer. My kids and I used the showers at the campground and were impressed on their cleanliness. We purchase $5 worth the firewood and had a great fire in the fire ring provided at the site. I've read complaints about not being able to bring your own firewood to some campgrounds and realize this is a good rule. I would hate to see what the pine beetles from Louisiana could do to a place like this. The pool was clean as were the rest of the amenities. The attractions were only 15 minutes from the campground, with easy access. We even traveled 45 miles for a whitewater rafting trip on the Ocoee River near Cleveland. (Nantahala Outdoor Center - noc.com- highly recommended!). On the last day the staff let us check out and leave our camper at the campground while we went back to see Rock City. The highlight of the trip was going to the new drive-in theater just a half a mile down the road. At 5 bucks per person and home grilled hamburgers and popcorn it was great! I would definitely recommend this campground and hope to return on my next trip. I think the drive-in alone and the friendly people at the campground were worth the trip!

3.0 stars3.0 stars3.0 stars3.0 stars3.0 stars Great to relax with the kids, but... - from TripAdvisor.com
We choose this KOA for our recent trip to Chattanooga and we very pleased. Our family stayed in a two room camping cottage and had a great time.

This campground is in a very peaceful setting in the country at the base of Lookout Mountain. I timed our drive to the Aquarium, it was 17 minutes. Very convenient.

They have very clean grounds and rest rooms. The rest rooms were always clean and the showers never ran out of hot water.

There is a very nice playground and pool area. The pool was huge with plenty of chairs and tables. At the time of our visit was closed for the season.

They camp store was very well stocked and priced reasonably. In one area of the camp store, you can sit with a laptop and use their free wireless. Also, free coffee was available most of the day.

They laundry room, while we did not use, looked very clean with several units available. One disappointment was the game room. It is located in a "barn" and themed great. However, this being one of the reasons I choose this KOA, it was a real let down for my boys. Only one of three arcade games was working. There was also foosball, air hockey, and pool tables, so all and all it was okay. We did not really spend that much time there after all.

They also rent bikes, but none seemed to be in great shape, and have a volleyball net set up in a nice grass area next to the pool area.

The staff two staff members we saw, a man and woman who I believe live on the property, were not generally very friendly. When you went in the store, you kind of felt like a bother.

My son told me on two separate occasions over the weekend that the woman was down right hateful to him. (He's 11.) Once when he asked about renting a bike and once when he asked about volleyball. It seemed to really hurt his feelings.

They are just down the road from the new Wilderness Drive-In, which was great by the way. This KOA was running a special where you got discount tickets to the drive-in, but when my husband went to purchase them, they charged him full price, even thought he asked for the special, we just let it go.

Overall, this is a nice place to go, especially with kids. It was great to come back to after our outings in Chattanooga to relax and let the kids play.
