Great Family Focused Fun - from TripAdvisor.com
My parents bought a 5th wheel about 13 years ago so that they could camp with my aunts and uncles. They started coming to Myrtle Beach Travel Park because all of the relatives bragged about the facility...with good rights. They have been going for several weeks for the past 13 years. They invite me and my siblings on a rotating basis to join them for a few days once they have had time to unwind. My family joined them a few years back and found the campground to be nice. We once again joined them this July and found it even better. My son can ride his bike without fear of injury. All of the campers were nice and considerate. I even slept under the stars one night without fear. The staff was wonderful and there were plenty of activities planned, not that they were necessary due to the natural surroundings. My kids loved the easy beach access although it was pretty crowded at times. The pools and lazy river were great! We dined and shopped within 5 miles of the campground. Everything was close and convenient. Bath houses were clean and beautiful. Although I am not much of a "camper". I prefer turn down service, my children loved it and it was worth it to spend time with family.

First time camping - from TripAdvisor.com

I went to the Myrtle Beach Travel Park with my family (husband me and my 2 girls age 8 and 3) for our first camping trip. I have nothing less than a great time. Loved the on site store, the pool area (inside and out) was awesome ... the beach was nice and calm. I had a great time. I will definitely go back there and camp again.

As Advertised - from TripAdvisor.com

Myrtle Beach was our main destination and being new to RVing I researched RV parks. Myrtle Beach Travel Park was attractive because of it's proximity to the ocean, clean bathrooms, and onsite swimming. We got our requested site and were literally able to walk off of our site, over a bridge, and onto the beach. We fell asleep to the sound of the ocean waves. My 4 kids spent hours playing on the beach but we were also able to use the indoor pool which was basic but a nice addition for an RV park. The bathrooms were very clean and updated and we opted for them instead of our own for showers. Customer service directed us to nearby attractions which was good. No LP onsite for refills but deliveries made 3 days/week and customer service referred me down the road when I needed it. Visited another park nearby and it wasn't even a contest. MBTP won hands down. All in all, a great trip.

Stayed in the off season
Stayed here in March of 2007. Park was only about 1/3 full. Clean and mostly updated. It was a little cold but the pool area was very nice ... recently renovated. Most of the lots have mini-pavilions next to them. A nice touch. We plan to return again this March.

Look Forward to it Every Year - from TripAdvisor.com

This has become our favorite vacation spot. After reading reviews about some of the other MB campgrounds full of speeding golf carts, we decided to try this one a week after Labor Day. We were rewarded with a relaxing week of nothingness on the beach with our 2 young kids. We hear it's very crowded up to Labor Day weekend, but we always go the week after the holiday and it's quiet - but not deserted. Bathrooms (the new ones) are the nicest I've seen anywhere. Pool and lazy river were beautiful. Almost all facilities were still open a week or two after Labor Day. We were so close to the ocean we could hear the waves crashing at night. A few small negatives: 1. Handsoap was empty the entire week in the restrooms and I don't think showers were cleaned every day (but were still very clean). 2. Lots of fire ants on some sites/playground. 3. No monitoring of people coming onto the property from the beach (I saw a man - I do not think he was a guest - come off the beach to use the restroom facilities every day - he even went into the Ladies room once!) With the exception of man in the ladies' room (we informed security, but I suspect this is an issue at all the beach front campgrounds) none of these things would keep us from coming back. Had a great stay!

Great Place / Centrally Located - from TripAdvisor.com

We really enjoyed our stay here. This was our first visit, but we will definitely be returning! The beach was very nice and we were so close that you could hear the ocean waves! They have a good size lake on the property, so if you can't get close to the beach, try the lake. Nice playground for the kiddies. Good looking pool and lazy river, it was closed because of the season, but they had a very nice heated, indoor pool. The store was closed, but no worries, Wal-Mart and the Outlet Mall were less than a mile away! Really great location. So close to everything. Barefoot Landing was maybe a five minute drive and Broadway at the Beach was maybe ten-fifteen minutes in the other direction. Also, "Restaurant Row" was only a couple of miles away. There are so many campgrounds to choose from in Myrtle Beach, but you can't go wrong with this one!

Awesome stay! - from TripAdvisor.com

This was our first family vacation with a two year old. We rented one of the travel trailers and were amazed at the size and cleanliness. The travel trailer was located at the pool and slide area. Everything was within walking distance; the beach, the store, the pool. We will most definitely be going back.

Love the peacefulness - from TripAdvisor.com
My family discovered this campground back in 1980 when I was 12 years old. We continued to stay here every summer until I graduated in 1986. As my parents were getting older, we started staying in hotels and condos. 5 years ago I camped with my own family at one of the other campgrounds. We were almost run over by racing golf carts! So 2 years ago, we started coming back to Myrtle Beach Travel Park. It held a lot of great memories for me since both my parents have since passed. It was very peaceful and low-key, but plenty of activities to keep the kids occupied. We camp during the summer, but also for a long weekend in October and during Easter Break.. I love the Snow Birds! The retirees who stay there Fall thru Spring. They are very sweet to us and even came out to help us set up or huge cabin tent (we wanted the kids to experience REAL camping). The pools and lazy river are great. I would never stay at a different campground in Myrtle Beach.

Great Family Camping - from TripAdvisor.com
Date: October 29, 2006 Reviewer: North Lima, Ohio My family has camped at MBTP every year for the last 5 years. I would never camp elsewhere when vacationing at Myrtle Beach. We stayed there twice this year. The park is clean, safe and modernized. The management is professional and helpful. The sites are large and level. The kids have plenty to do and there are no golf carts racing all over like most parks.

Best Place to Go! - from TripAdvisor.com
I have been going here since I was 4 and I am 24 now. We always stay in a rental and they have always been clean. If there is a problem with one, the maintenance staff is there to fix whatever is wrong or clean the mess or whatever is wrong. The pool is wonderful, the campground is really nice for kids because it is mostly families and when a child "gets loose" they get returned or are kept safe until the parents are found. Great place for families. I got married last year and my husband and i did not stay at Myrtle Beach Travel Park. I wished we did. We stayed next door at a fancy hotel complex and everyday I made him walk through MBTP and do the stuff there. There are always pool activities and other things for kids to do and it is fun to watch as an adult. If you stay in a rental, make sure you have sheets, towels and all the necessities of life. We take rugs to keep the sand from our feet. There are new shower houses and they are gorgeous. The beach is at most a quarter of a mile away. My grandparents bring their 45 ft RV and have no problem parking and next door there could be a tent. Its great. My family is there right now, but my husband & I could not get off work. We are going down later in the summer. I definately recommend this place to anyone and everyone. And I already have.
