Terrific Spot

We stayed here completely by chance and were pleasantly surprised by the friendly people who cooperatively own the park. We were treated to an evening of great fun and live music, invited to dinner and have kept in touch with Lisa and John, whom we met while camped there. This park is the epitome of what I consider to be the best about camping...meeting wonderful people and having a great time. We have a 40' fifth wheel and were on our maiden voyage with it when we happened to find Oak Embers in 2008 and we look forward to our next trip there. This time we will plan to stay for a longer visit and tour more of the area. Last time we were delighted to visit the State Fair, a recommendation of one of the other campers who had entered some needle work and won first place for a lovely piece of artful quilting. Not the slickest place I've ever been to, but absolutely one of the best! I highly recommend this lovely spot.

Great Small Campground

This is a great little campground where weekenders feel very welcomed. They had a Luau with food, games and dancing. I had a great time and even made tissue paper flowers earlier that day, for free. They hand out free popcorn Saturdays for the kids and the crafts they do are either free or cheap, even the tie dying. Not much in the ways of amenities; pool (very clean), swing, basketball court and game room. But I heard they are looking to put in a miniature golf course, can't wait. This is also across from a horse stable where you can rent them and go on the local trails thru the woods. They are even features in Yankee Magazine for fall foliage. Highly recommend.

Perfect place to be!

Became seasonal in May 2008 and have never been happier! Trust me, if you find fault with this place, you've never stayed at other campgrounds in the area! This place has everything to keep everyone in your family happy. Owners are friendly and maintain their investment with class. Timber Creek is the best value for your money. One drive through the grounds and five minutes speaking with the people within the park will clearly demonstrate just how nice this place is!

Stayed in a camper on the Charlestown Breachway for a weekend...it was a fun place to be...Other camper families are friendly and congenial...Great fishing off the rocks at the end of the Breachway...beach nice there also..and lots of boats to watch going through the channel...Fog can be dense at night but then again you are surrounded on three sides by water there...so it is to be expected...All in all a unique campground and will return again soon...
