Nickel and dime - from TripAdvisor.com
|

Camped at Timber Creek beginning their second year..lots of promises of upgrades, all I got was fee increases and more rules and regulations. Very hard to enjoy yourself, the only real attraction was the pool which was always too crowded to enjoy, you had to leave the campground to enjoy your time there. And with huge rate increases every year wasn't worth the money. Got nickled and dimed at every turn...would research and talk to people there before spending the money it'll cost to stay...not worth the price.

We were 3 year campers at Timber Creek. They make a lot of promises to upgrade facilities and never do, it is the same as opening day, other than the fact that they add new sites. This only adds to the overcrowded pool situation. On most weekends the pool was so crowded you couldn't get a chair unless you were there at 7:00 am. They also nickel and dime you for everything, the store is truly overpriced for the young shoppers that tend to frequent for candy and pops. Everything that they do has a cost, except of course the one free hot dog or hamburger that they provide in the welcome cookout. There is no security and there were many issues with strangers being let in and roaming the park, this is an issue if you have young children or daughters because they think everyone in the park belongs there. The only thing you can truly count on Bob and Carol for is to raise your fees, and explain that, by telling you they are going to provide new amenities that never appear.
