Nice, longer covered bridge
This nice old bridge is longer and still regularly used for vehicle traffic. It crosses the scenic Maiden Creek in a quiet, secluded setting. It was built in 1869 and according to my research it spans 172'. It's still in nice shape. Surrounded by mainly historic buildings, it gives visitors the feel of going back in time.
To find the bridge, look for it just off Route 173 a short drive north of Dreibelbis.
It's a lovely covered bridge. The only shortcoming is the lack of any formal parking area. The roads are pretty quiet, so you can park on the shoulder, but there is no formal parking lot.
