Cascade Locks really was very nice. The amount of trees was great, and there was a wonderful breeze off of the Columbia River. The 1 problem we had was the train.. lol we did not know that there was a freight train that would go by every 45 min.. 24/7. During the day it was not bothersome but trying to sleep.. as it blasted the horns, I would sit bolt upright in our trailer. It really was lovely though and we enjoyed it during the day. Read More >>

My family and I stayed at KOA Cascade Locks for the Labor Day weekend. It was a last minute trip and this was the only thing available. I soon realized why. I read some of the review after we were booked, so I was warned about the trains. The trains go by very often. There seemed to be a break in the mornings from about 10am until 1:30pm, then it begins again. At its peak, a train goes by every 30-45 minutes. The tracks are only about 10 yards... Read More >>

Well fellow RV'rs and friends ... we are still here enjoying and relaxing in the sun and breezes coming down the gorge. Steelhead and salmon fishing will be here soon so I'll post some catches.there is a LOT of the gorge to see here we found a off road waterfall and a piece of land we are looking at to make this area our home. There are deer, elk, big horn sheep, geese, ducks, fishing, oh yea wife says all kinds of little shops also. The owners... Read More >>

We have stayed here several times over last 10 years, yes if you don't like trains don't stay here, if you like a very well kept campground with clean showers and plenty of washers and dryers, if you like the gorge and salmon steelhead fishing and friendly people then this is a must ... great hookups, and cable tv for the couch people, bikes and trails for those who explore. We picked this campground because we needed a reliable place to pitch our tents after a long drive, with 3 teenagers, from the California border. It was just a one night stay...and I'm glad about that. We were exhausted and arrived to a live band playing loudly on the porch of the office. Now I have nothing against live music, love it in fact, but not while I'm camping along the Columbia River. Our tent spot was a strip of grass with no... Read More >>

Great service, nice environment. This was a two day stop for us while traveling the west coast to Canada from California. It was great. We have 4 children. They could ride bikes, there were bike rentals, a pancake breakfast- lots of washers and dryers, a lot of space between campsites, a nice forest setting, close and easy access to a multitude of things to do and see. Above all, after seeing numerous private RV resorts, and campgrounds- this... Read More >>

Cascade Locks campground was a wonderful place for a family reunion. It had something for the young and also the older people. There were interesting sites not far from the campground. Our group used 19 camp sites. Our organizers had done such a good job that everything went very smoothly. Also there were motels and cabins for people who didn't stay right there. I stayed at the Best Western Columbia River Inn and was very well satisfied. The... Read More >>
