old fashioned charm

The GPS put us at the wrong coordinates! The park is at exit 276, and South to the first driveway not272 and North to a corn field, but once we got to where we were supposed to go, we were pleasantly surprised at the green setting and charming gift shop. The bathrooms, although older, was clean, free of trash and well stocked.
My wife and I enjoyed it so much, we returned on our way home. The managers, remembered us by name, and even the space we were in 2 weeks prior.

Great place to visit, campground from hell

This campground was such a disappointment. We came from MN where you usually get spacious campsites and some privacy between sites. We had no idea you could not have your own campfire as this was the first time we encountered a campground without campfire rings in each site. They did have a community fire ring but because of the heat and dry weather it could not be used. The worst part of this place was our neighbors, they arrived before we did, pulled in backward and used our postage stamp sized space as their own. When I went back to the check-in office to complain they basically said that was too bad. They did offer us 3 sites that were not spoken for yet if we wanted to change. Unfortunately they were either too small for us or not an improvement over what we had. It was basically a place to park for two days till our neighbors left. The next occupants parked the right way so we were able to use the permanent grill one night. Now we know, ask questions before you book.

Home town charm

We pulled in late, but was promptly greeted by a smiling face who walked us to our space, offered to help hook us hook up, and got us settled in for a great nights sleep. We happened to luck out and be here for Sunday morning buffet bar. Home made biscuits and gravy! WOW! This is a small campground, but they make a nice effort to keep it a clean and park like setting.

I love this place. North Dakota's best well kept secret. 40 year old trees surround the park, and you can just rest and watch the wildlife.

Trees galore

What a quiet and shady place for a weary traveler to stop in and rest. The restrooms are clean and the prettiest I've come across in my years of travels. A secluded haven for geese, ducks, pheasants, coots, deer, rabbits, turtles, etc.
