Campground with horse rides - from TripAdvisor.com
|
|
Mid-August 2008 - 5 day stay - A most wonderful experience.
Where can you camp on the East Coast and rent a horse for a ride on the ocean beach? Yes, that's Teeter's Campground. The horses and campers are well cared for. No need to repeat the positives already mentioned, but very True. Only thing is beware of the full-time campers who may let their dogs roam. You can't expect the mgr Bubbie to be dog-watcher too. Never had a problem with dogs....

My family and I had a very laid back and peaceful stay at Teeters Campground. Perfect location. Very family friendly. I found the campground to be be very quiet, clean and safe. Owner was very polite and helpful. We usually only campout once a year but are now planning another trip to Teeters for the fall!

Old Skool Southern Hospitality - from TripAdvisor.com

My kids, friends and I have stayed at Teeters over the years for many reasons: Shade, sandy/grassy soft tent sites, friendly and helpful owners, hot showers (the state site on the ocean has no shade, no hot water, and lots of biting flies). Teeter's campground is dog friendly, kid/family friendly, other campers are friendly I've been there with a banjo-playing friend who struck up a "jam session" with other musicians he found there! Teeter's is...

Good People, Good Campground - from TripAdvisor.com
|

We visited Teeter's during Easter weekend. We were looking for hook-ups and something close to town(without breaking the bank). We got exactly that. Ocracoke has been a favorite spot for us for a long time. Tee shirts, flip flops, cold beer and a "Hey, how yall doing?" go a long way. Bubba and his wife were very nice people. We had a great time and we'll be back!

Not your average campground - from TripAdvisor.com

I and my family have stayed at Teeter's Campground many times over the years, and we love it. This campground is obviously not like other, bigger campgrounds. Sure its not the fanciest of campgrounds, but it does have a very friendly environment. I have attended cookouts that teeter has put held. Ocracoke is not meant to be a touristy place, and indeed, that would ruin the appeal of the island. I strongly disapprove of the previous description...

Goodtime, Friendly owner - from TripAdvisor.com

I have stayed at Teeters many times now over the years and have enjoyed all trips there. The facilities are ok, and it's real close to town center and lots of stores. I have read a review bashing this site, if people making noise at night bother you, you should probably keep your RV or Tent at home and camp in your back yard, If your camping your there to have fun and relax on your vacation and that usually does not involve nap time at 12:30 and...

Teeters good option on Ocracoke - from TripAdvisor.com
|

Teeters Campground is one of the few places to camp on the island and has hookups. It is owned by a family that has lived on the island for many years. The family is friendly and helpful. The campground could be a little bit cleaner, but otherwise we loved it. It is close to the town center and we had a great time walking and biking around.
