Kirkland Creek Campground, Bryson City, North Carolina - from TripAdvisor.com

My family and I stayed at Kirkland Creek Campground June 6th - 9th. We were greeted by a smiling Kim and shown to our cabin. We immediately fell in love with the place. Needless to say, the kids loved the loft area. My 74-yr.-old Mom loved the front porch overlooking the trout pond. The campground is beautiful and so very relaxing. We planned this trip for our 8-yr-old granddaughter, 5-yr-old grandson, and 13-yr-old nephew. My grandson enjoyed the swings, my nephew liked the horseshoe pit, and they all liked the pool. The highlight of our visit was watching the children fish for trout. Thanks to Charles and his wife, Terry, this experience will be one they will remember. I was so impressed with the way they took the time to help the kids each catch a trout. Then Charles fascinated them (and me) as he cleaned each one, taking the time to show them many details about the fish. We had trout for supper, a first for all of us! We were made to feel so welcomed, it was hard to leave. If you're looking for a safe, clean, friendly, and relaxing place, this is it!
