Good and not so good

Rented cabin - hard mattress and very small cabin right next to main road and railroad. Not my idea of camping. Pool closed an hour early - no adult swim. Very crowded place. Pool was good. Rules a bit confusing. Internet worked fine. Near to Watkins Glen which is very nice. Mini-golf hasn't been repaired in years and need serious help. Need dish sinks and more restrooms available. Get a place toward the back if you want it to feel like camping.

We contacted this KOA on the Thursday before our stay to find out if we could pay using a check. We were told that would be fine. Upon arrival, my husband was treated very rudely by one of the employees when he tried to pay by check. He told her he had already called to check, and was told "No Checks". The employees didn't even tell him where the nearest ATM was.

Family campground with many activities for the kids. Our son spent hours playing on the pirate ship playground which was right outside our deluxe cottage (K51). One family activity was the Treasure/Scavenger Hunt where you read stories about the areas history and clues lead you to the next station. At the end your child received a prize.
