Right on the highway
|
|
We camped June 2007 in a tent trailer, site was clean. I wanted to be on the river, but they don't have sites on the river. The sites are pretty, but I felt I was in a field. They did have trees, but sites were too open.
My boyfriend liked the fishing, he likes to fly fish. The campground is right by the Beaverkill river. He said that there were alot of hatches, and the fish were hitting. However he didn't like that there were so many other anglers in the river. Too crowded for him. He liked fishing the Willowemoc river better. That's in Livingston Manor.
The bathhouses were clean, had to wait to take a shower. Small campstore, but town is close. Roscoe is a small town. As long as you like fishing stores it's fine, not much else though.
Bad thing about campground is we could hear the trucks all night. It's right on Rt 17. We couldn't see the highway from our site, but could hear it. When you're fishing you can see it. OK campground, but probably won't go back.
