Campground Not Recommended
The campground does not appear as it does on the website. Many of the sites are close to the road as is the pool and playground. The campsites are also very close together, not many trees. Also did not find the owners very helpful with needs. Would not recommend this campground.

Do not camp here!!
This place was terrible. I wouldn't even consider it a campground. I have been camping for years and this place was the worst we have ever been to. I can not believe how unfriendly and rude the staff is there. The staff is also very untrained. They have little to no knowledge of the very "campground" in which they are employed! The managers were the worst. They were very hostile with me and my family after we had encountered a few problems with there "campground". We rented a pop up (for a ridiculous amount of money) and the thing leaked all over our clothing and food. So we notified management and it was like talking to a ten year old. Instead of fixing the problem and reimbursing us for our destroyed items they pointed fingers and played the blame game. In fact this whole situation was indeed their fault because the untrained staff unfortunately did not tell us the proper way to run the pop up. We left this horrible place never wanting to return again. Do not camp here!

Branch Brook....In terrible need of some TLC
Our first impression of this campground was not a good one! When we first turned into the drive, it was full of major potholes that look like they have been there for years. I was thankful that we were not pulling a camper through there. When we finally navigated the giant potholes and got to the office, the woman checked us in and gave us the keys only asking us to sign the registration form and give her our plate number. That was it, no welcome, no asking if we had questions, nothing. Also, we had to check in after 6pm that evening due to an event the campground had been having. So we get over to our cabin which was disgusting and filthy. We cleaned for 2 hours after arriving there before we would touch anything. I know this is a campground cabin (a camper trailer with log siding)so it won't be a 4 star hotel, but some cleanliness would be expected by anybody. The stove was filthy inside and out, there was a large corner metal piece of it broken off near the burner. The inside of the trash can was disgusting and had not been cleaned or sanitized since it was put in the cabin. The floors, where there were tile (the kitchen and bathroom) had not been swept. This cabin is situated underneath a bunch of pine trees so there were pine needles everywhere and it was very obvious as the tile was white. The floor had not been vacuumed, we did find a broom in the cabin and swept up as much as we could and got several huge piles of dirt, grass and pine needles. The refrigerator reeked (it was, however a newer model) and had visible crud on all the shelves and inside the drawers. The spiders must have loved the filth because there were plenty of them, and I'm not talking Daddy Long Legs, I am talking this fat blacker than black good sized spiders. We wanted to leave right then and there, but we were to tired from our trip and then having to clean so much. I am sitting there unable to sleep in the sitting area chair next to the pull out couch where my mother and daughter are laying when I see movement out of the corner of my eye...it was a MOUSE running out from under the stove! So then I really freak out and can't sleep. I'm standing guard with a broom to keep the mice and spiders at bay, when I see another mouse run up the side of the wall by the refrigerator and up on top of the cabinets! This is crazy! What a way to spend a first night. After spending nearly $600 you would think the cabin would at least be clean. First thing the next morning, we went to Lincoln and bought mouse traps and spider bombs. After that, spiders were no longer an issue - but we continued to catch 1 to 2 mice every day/night in those mousetraps. We even trapped one baby mouse under a glass on the counter when it wouldn't scurry to hide like the others had done. Now, for the rest of the place...the grounds were nice, the atmosphere was nice. During the week it was very quiet and we got the run of the pool area which my children were extremely happy with. The water slides were fun for us adults too. It is a very large pool, so even when it is busy it is not extremely crowded. The rules are not enforced at all as this is a very laid back place (it seems more like they don't want to be bothered with anything) so there were kids jumping off the tops of the slides and eating and drinking leaving stuff around. When my husband put the goggles on to swim around underwater, he took a look at the filter on the bottom of the pool and said it was disgusting and probably hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. There were barrettes, band-aids and candy wrappers all stuck in it. I did also see a few band-aids around the pool on the cement area. I think they had maybe 10 chairs around. We stayed for a week so we did do laundry while we were there. The laundry area is in the basement of the rec hall. It was reasonably priced and seemed to work fine for us, there is a table to fold laundry and such. The bathrooms and showers are also down there, which thankfully we didn't have to use as they were in our cabin - but I did check them out. Gross! The showers were the color of rust from hard water stains, every single one of them. The counters were not wiped down the entire time we were there, because I specifically checked where there were a couple small piles of dirt/pine needles. The sign says they are sanitized and cleaned twice a day - which is obviously not the case. The rec hall is your typical place - a few tables and chairs, a counter where they have craft activities, a pool table and a ping pong table. There is another room on the other half where there is a huge screen tv, couches, chairs, lamps - it looked really nice but it was never used for anything. The lights were never on to let people know they could use the space despite it being advertised on their site. Great Seasonal Campground
This is a small campground with only 26 seasonal sites and probably another 15 to 20 other sites for tenters, pop-ups and class A,B & C motor homes. The Park itself is Exceptionally Clean,well landscaped and very well maintained.Mostly adults all though children and pets are welcome. Ample parking, very clean facilities throughout. Only 3 miles from beaches, shops, boating, fishing, restaurants etc.

One of my favorites!
We make it a point to come here every year. It's right off 93 easy in..easy out. We now can stay right on the Pemi River with our travel trailer. And you are right on the river.The kids can play in the water right at our site. Nice people, clean facilities and awesome river trips. See you soon Pemi River...Gail M.
