Expensive
The campground was well cared for, but it was extremely expensive. For example, to rent a bike you had to first give them a $20 deposit, and a box of graham crackers will cost you $7.00. The indoor pool is nice but so cold the kids don't want to swim in it.

Nice park but not cheap
This is a nice KOA. Probably one of the nicer parks we've stayed at over the years. Clean and well maintained. It is conveniently located a few miles from the west entrance of Yellowstone in West Yellowstone. They have a nice indoor pool but kept it a good 5-8 degrees colder than we prefer.
However, it is also the most expense KOA we've ever stayed at. Nightly rates for a full hookup were $72 plus $5 per kid. On top of that, every activity...

A weekend in paradise - from TripAdvisor.com

Pulled in late (about 10:40) and they were still open. Staff was tired but still friendly and helpful. Even brought us some leveling boards for the deluxe site we booked. BBQ was great (try the ribs) though it is cash only. They also rent bikes for children (and there were a lot of them here!) All and all it was an 8.

Great Service Great Location - from TripAdvisor.com

We stayed in one of the cabins with our daughter and her husband for our first visit to Yellowstone Park. We enjoyed terrific service with a wonderful breakfast. The scenery was breathtaking with picturesque Lionshead overlooking the campground. We were also fortunate to see elk, moose, eagles and bears. The campground was well located to explore the areas rivers, lakes and the national park. The restrooms were very clean and functional. We...

The worst place i have ever stayed - from TripAdvisor.com

Yellowstone Montana:
My family recently had a reunion at the West Yellowstone KOA. What a big mistake! We were treated absolutely horrible. Like children mostly. We were told we could not be out after dark, and also had to turn off our lights. We were unable to have a bonfire and roast marshmallows with our grandchildren due to the time restraints on us. The swimming pool was a nice pool, but was so chlorinated that it actually burned the...

Worst KOA experience ever!
This should have been a great family vacation but it turned into a nightmare. We spent the previous nights at the KOA in Great Falls and had a fine experience but this place is run like a concentration camp.
We were told be quiet before quiet hours began at 10PM. We were told to put out our small marshmallow campfire without an explanation. We were harassed by the managers and security from the start of the trip.
When we voiced our...
