Great Value - from TripAdvisor.com
|
The Crooked Tree is a good base for exploring the park. We stayed in one of the recently remodeled rooms in the 50's era motel section. It was clean and very nice. There are also several much newer and larger cabin style units.
The pool was in a separate building which also housed the laundry and ice machine. We didn't try the pool, but it looked OK.
We had a very relaxing stay, sitting outside our room in the evening in the provided lawn chairs and just enjoying the mountains. The price is right and the people who own the place are very nice.
About the only negative was the older wall mounted air conditioner it sounded like a small airplane. It cooled the room nicely while we went out to eat, however, and the cool mountain air did the rest.
We would definately return.

Crooked Tree Motel and RV Park is great, excellent price, the pool was extremely clean and the rooms were just as good. Very clean and nicely decorated. It was very quiet and relaxing. A great stay going or coming to Glacier National Park. I would recommend this motel to anyone. Thanks for the friendly service and great stay.

Budget roadside motel with Nice indoor pool - from TripAdvisor.com
|
|
If you are looking for affordable accommodations outside of Glacier Park, The Crooked Tree Motel in Hungry Horse is okay. The rooms are standard, budget, unremarkable, but the indoor pool is large and inviting. Just make sure the pool is open before you book (I think they close it through the deep winter). It's an easy walk from the motel to the Flathead River.
