Great!
This is a magical little place off the beaten path. Peaceful. Clean bathrooms. Great out-door showers.

Great campground
We stayed at Cherry Hill for almost a week while sightseeing in Washington DC. We were also celebrating our anniversary. We found the campground to be very nice and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The sights were a little small. The camp store was very nice and was well stocked. We were too tired at the end of each day to enjoy the pool or other facilities. I highly recommend the metro system in DC. A map and weekly subway pass will be your best companions during your stay. The bus will pick you up at the campground, but we found ourselves waiting for long periods at the metro station. You may want to buy a smart pass and drive to the Greenbelt Station, skipping the bus. The bath houses were exceptionally clean and required a pass code to enter. A pass code is also needed to enter the main gate to the campground. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay here and will probably stay here again in the future.

Good campground great location
Cherry Hill Campground in College Park MD was a good place to stay. While I was too tired at the end of the day to really enjoy it, the kids loved going to the big heated pool and hot tub every evening while I cooked dinner. The pools were not all open because it was too early in the season. The area was very clean. I think we saw the mini golf located at the front of the office but it looked more like a very small flower garden that had not been cleaned out for summer yet. If this was the course it looked fine for very small children but that is about it. I may be mistaken and may have missed the real course since I did not do much walking around the campground. In the evenings there is a movie playing on both an indoor and outdoor screen. The night we went to do laundry they were playing march of the penguin. All sites have cable hookups the sites are very small and close together (about 12' between campers (it kind of reminded us of going to a NASCAR race camping lot) but clean and level and easy to back into. We did not spend much time there so we were not bothered by this coziness. There were mostly big rvs there so the bathhouses were not very busy in the morning. I like to take long showers so I usually don;t shower in the camper. A good thing is the showers are free. Not the case at all campgrounds. The bath houses were fairly clean but not the cleanest I have seen. Toilet seats had dried lint and hair like a dirty cloth was used to clean them. But I have also been in some campground bathrooms where too much bleach was used without rinsing and my clothes were ruined. (at 7am they were kind of old clean not freshly cleaned. We never saw the maintenance people so the bathhouse was never closed when I went to use it.) The campground store had just about everything you would want or need in it at fair prices. From Ben and Jerry's to camper parts. They allow pets and have a dog walking service that we did not use but saw frequently. The metro bus stops right in the entrance of the campground with a ticket office where you can buy bus tokens and metro fare cards from a live person. The ride on the bus brings you to the College Park Station on the weekdays and greenbelt station on Sundays. Then you get on the greenline and can travel everywhere. I have to say that marie, a woman in the office, was not just unhelpful she was unhappy. She refused to help us retrieve the credit card number we had used to check in so that we could cancel our card after our wallet was lost on the metro bus. She was very rude not only with her attitude but her speech. A few minutes later I made the trip back and after I insisted she go look for the number and she found it rather quickly but not before she called the owner and put me on the phone with him.
