Love Mount Desert Campground

We have been going to Acadia since 1985 and Mount Desert Campground since 1997. We had always heard how nice it was but had chosen Blackwoods. But one year we decided to try Mount Dessert Campground. Our site was wonderful and wooded. And instead of camping on the ground they had wooden platforms. The bathrooms are very very clean. Unfriendly, unorganized

Arrived at camp 8am - host gave me map she had marked up then told me of camps sites good for kids (after a 7 hour drive.) Views great, landed at site, unpacked then set up tent and were ready for an adventure when someone came over and told me we had to go to the front office, seems the woman was looking at the map from yesterday.
