Chewonki Big Eddy Campground is can accommodate up to 28' campers. It is almost dry camping but not quite. Best sites for trailers closest to the river are numbers 3-7. no real pads, just rough gravel, but the proximity to a world -class flyfishing spot cannot be beat. Big Eddy Campground is actually 45 minutes of dirt road driving, minimum, from Greenville. Better road access comes from going to Millinocket by I95 to reach it, unless you are in Greenville anyway. If you are it is a pretty drive, but not for little sports cars. Big Eddy is only a 25 minute drive to The gatehouse of Baxter State Park.
