5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars Must-Do for Horse Lovers - from TripAdvisor.com
I'll say up front that this is a place for people who like horses, who want to see horses and know more about horses. It's -all- about horses. If you are just looking for generic thrill rides, and don't care about horses, it could be a little dull. But if you like horses, it will be anywhere from interesting to thrilling. As for me, I am a horse racing fan, and the Kentucky Horse Park was one of the most memorable places I've been on any... Read More >>
5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars Great place for horse lovers - from TripAdvisor.com
This is a great place for any avid horse lover. There is a wide variety of things to see and do at the park. You can take in a show, visit the museum, or visit many of the other educational parts of the park. The International Museum of the Horse is a must see, although be aware, in preparation for the 2010 World Equestrian Games, this museum is undergoing some upgrades. So some exhibits inside may not be available. The American Saddlebred... Read More >>

We just returned from a trip to Kentucky Horse Park. Hats Off day, so it was free. It's a good thing it was free because it sure would not have been worth paying to get in. We took our 3 year old granddaughter and daughter-in-law. They were so excited, my granddaughter could not wait for the pony rides. Well, we ask about 5 different people that worked there were the children's activities were, including the lady at the visitor's center, and got... Read More >>

Kentucky Horse Park is a very big place. However, I think the cost to get in is way too high compared to what there is to do. Mostly you walk around a look at horses. The horseback riding was worth the price. That was the highlight of our day there. You have to pay to get in and then pay to go horse back riding though. Eat before going. They have a place to eat that is overpriced for normal food (hamburgers, hot dogs, salads). The food is... Read More >>
4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars Great place for your kids to run - from TripAdvisor.com
We are an active family with a 4 and 6 year old. I wanted a place where they could run, see some horses up close -this was it! They were able to brush a pony, go on a pony ride and see all the horses they wanted to. After 3 hours they were exhausted and fell asleep before we left the parking lot. If you are an active family who like to incorporate a little exercise and family fun - this is it. There are two museums to escape the heat and the... Read More >>

Visited Kentucky Horse Park and stayed at the campground next door - to Horse Park. Was really neat visiting there after seeing the movie about Sea Biscuit. Learned a lot about how big the stride of the famous horses - as they are displayed on the grounds with poles. Read More >>

5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars The Kentucky Horse Park is a horse lover's dream vacation! - from TripAdvisor.com
If you admire horses then you are going to absolutely love the Kentucky Horse Park located in Lexington, KY. I just finished a two week horse show there with my eleven year old daughter, who is a show jumper, and it was delightful! There is so much to do if you are a fan of the horse world. From trail riding to museum hopping the Kentucky Horse Park has it all. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable as well. The grounds are well manicured... Read More >>

We loved visiting the Kentucky Horse Park. There were many activities highlighting the different breeds. We especially loved seeing the "Hall of Champions" show and the "Mare and Foal" show. Both were very informative and it was great to see the amazing champions from the past. I remember seeing Cigar run and I loved seeing him in person. The staff was helpful and informative. We would visit again. Read More >>
5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars Lots to do and see! - from TripAdvisor.com
We visited the Kentucky Horse Park for a couple events during July and had the opportunity to tour the museums and other facilities. It was very interesting for anyone from those who are just interested in horses to horse experts. I would definitely allow at least full day to tour the facility. They also have a scenic trail ride and a breed demonstration. A visit to the Saddlebred Museum is included in admission too. Read More >>
5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars A wonderful way to spend the day around horses! - from TripAdvisor.com
Kentucky Horse Park is a great place to learn more about horses. Up close and personal, parade of breeds, brings out and shows each one (5) twice a day. Tells about their history and the riders. We really enjoyed that. We took the carriage ride. 35 minutes. the lady was very knowledgeable. Also went on the 45 minute trail ride. was not real impressed but we have our own trail horses. Was a nice ride, horses were real gentle. no problems there.... Read More >>
5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars My little horse lover had a ball... - from TripAdvisor.com
We arrived on an unusually cold Easter morning, but the 40 degree weather did not deter us. My 8 year old has been taking horseback riding lessons and has since become obsessed with horses. She was not disappointed. We paid an extra $15 each on top of our admission to do the horseback riding as well. Even if you are a beginner, the horses are very well trained as trail horses so they pretty much just follow the leader and you don't have to do... Read More >>
5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars Favorite Weekend Spot - from TripAdvisor.com
Since 1997 my mother and I have taken a weekend a year to go down to the park. Between March and October they are open seven days a week with some sort of program going on in most of their barns. When you arrive you should walk through the visitors center, see Thou Shalt Fly Without wings, and any other videos (others rotate) in the VS theater. Then venture out for your day. If you arrive early in the morning you can watch them tack up the draft... Read More >>
