Campground Rating - from TripAdvisor.com
We had a very mixed experience at this campground. The sites were fairly spacious and well kept. Water connections require additional hoses to reach. The children's activities were frequent, but a bit less engaging than we hoped. There are two small playgrounds and two bath houses. The bath houses were sufficient on week days when the campground was not crowded, but not adequate for the large weekend crowds. They were not cleaned enough on weekends for the demand and TP was unavailable by early Sunday. The show in the theater was wonderful, but the advertised swimming pool (one of the main reasons we chose this location) was closed, and has apparently been so for the year, although it is still advertised prominently on their website. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but would have chosen a different location had we known about the pool, and didn't find enough reasons to want to go back.

A great place to get 'snowed in' - from TripAdvisor.com
Jenny Wiley State Resort Park, located in Prestonburg, KY, is a relaxing resort in the cross roads of bluegrass, country music, civil war battles, and coal mining. Add a splash of theatrical performances and you only begin to realize that beauty of the area and history of the region. The lodge is situated on a lake with views of the surrounding mountainside. On the weekend we went, we woke up to a blanket of snow. Don't worry the roads were fine. In fact, we had no problem traveling in the area. The lodge rooms were comfortable, they included private balconies. The restaurant service was excellent, the food was your standard state park buffet but after traveling all day it tasted wonderful. For the price, you can't beat it. They also have a Frisbee golf course, with a 2nd one under construction. A marina is located at the foot of the lodge. A pool is located in the back. It was wonderful, Kentucky state resort parks are hardly ever a disappointment.

Great family campground - from TripAdvisor.com
I've been camping at Jenny Wiley since I was a child and it is still one of my favorite places to visit. The campground and bathrooms are very clean and well taken care of. The campground offers many free or very cheap activities for kids right in the park, including free ice cream socials, snake and wildlife shows, arts and crafts, games and much more. Friday and Saturday nights they have line dancing in the park. The whole family can come out and learn the steps and dance all evening. Located in the park, a short drive from the campground is Jenny Wiley Theatre. Each season they have new great musicals and shows. The costuming and scenery for each show is amazing. Over the years I've seen the Wizard of Oz, Annie, Beauty and the Beast and many more and they were all well worth the small amount it costs to go to the shows. There is also a lodge for those who don't like to camp.
