I would not recommend this campsite to the traveling camper. There are many permanent homes at Walnut Acres and they (along with the owners) are like the neighborhood watch on crack. They don't like outsiders and talk down to you. Please look elsewhere if you are not from there.

I wish I had read the reviews before our group of 13 campers paid a down-payment at this campsite. The owner we had the displeasure of interacting with was incredibly rude, unaccommodating and, frankly, a bit creepy. He called the sheriff to escort us off the premises without any warning or explanation. We were not given any reimbursement for the remaining night that we had already paid for. None of us will be returning, nor would I recommend...

Awful owners

Our annual tubing/camping trip will never be hosted here again. From the point of arrival I had an irritable feeling that never quite left. In particular, one of the owners...rude, underqualified, and obviously on a power trip made us leave our campsite by calling the sheriff to escort us off the property. Creepy Owner

I was here with my family during Halloween weekend (Aug. 13th & 14th) and the owner was incredibly creepy to say the least. He kept driving by my campsite on his golf cart with a video camera and kept asking my sons, 8 & 11, if they wanted to come watch horror movies and eat candy with him. Needless to say I packed up our stuff and left; it's also a huge ripoff.

The people that run (own) this campgrounds are the rudest people I've ever run into at any campgrounds we have ever stayed at. I would never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone. They were very creepy and were harassing us along with other campers all weekend. They were even video-taping everyone with their phones. They asked us to put out our fires and go to bed at 10:30 pm which I thought was completely ridiculous and after we...

Waste of money

This place was like a concentration camp. Our fire was put out without warning at 10:00pm. Our power was then shut off in our camper then without warning while getting ready to go to the restroom. We noticed the owner with his video camper standing next to our open camper window. Please do not make the same mistake we did and waste your money here. I know there is around 20 -30 of us who are never going to again.
