Great camping trip
|

Our family just loved our stay at Eel River Campground. The country scenery is beautiful and the campground has the most peaceful, relaxing atmosphere we've found in a long time. The owners were very friendly and made us feel welcome. We had forgotten our water hose and they let us borrow one of theirs. It was nice not to have a "check out time" cause Sunday was beautiful and we stayed till 7 pm. The bathrooms and showers were nicer than any state park and well maintained. Over all we just raved about our stay and can't wait to go back. We would highly recommend Eel River campground.

Negative Experience

Unless you like being crudely insulted, take photographs upon arrival. Keep your deposit receipt & its refund. The owner left a condemning & nasty voicemail full of accusation & demeaning comments all of which was unwarranted.
The day we left we cleaned the camper & it was in better condition then when we got there! When we got home my wife got a voice mail from the owner. To paraphrase it said, "I see a got a rip in the bench seat there". "I thought I could trust you people!" etc. I called back expecting a rational conversation but he tells me about what horrible people we are that we cut his seat on purpose and blamed my son! He said no one had been in that camper but the night before we left his wife told us he let their daughter in law & kids stay in there quite often, rolling her eyes. Listen if I, my wife, or even my son did it I would have owned up to it & made it right!
Not only that they screwed up and double booked the camper and to be nice we left early to help them!!
