Nice campground in a great city - from TripAdvisor.com
We camped at this KOA for a week in July, 2008. We rented the Silver Streak trailer that the campground had available and we had a wonderful week. The trailer is a vintage trailer but in very good condition. The campground itself is in a remote location, but not a bad drive to the many attractions that Springfield has to offer. We did notice the noise from the trains, but it was not terrible. The hosts at the campground were friendly and helpful, and it was kept up very well. The trailer we rented had a TV, two twin beds, a pullout sofa, and kitchen (microwave, small fridge, stove, oven). I camped here with my two boys (aged 5 and 7) and they loved it. There was a nice pool area and bicycle rentals. We were able to get a good wireless signal and cell phone coverage (AT & T).

Awful camping experince - from TripAdvisor.com

The KOA in Springfeild, mo is right next to a very busy railroad. Especially at night! We counted 13 because we couldn't sleep. There were planes landing at the nearby airport. They were only 300ft overhead. It was just terrible. We actually had to buy earplugs for the second night. Do yourself a favor do not camp there!
