Looking for more campgrounds in Central IL led us to Chillicothe Recreational Area, you will find this campground very clean, and quiet. With very level and spacious sites, a swimming and scuba diving lake, and a lot of room to explore. There is playground equipment for the kids. The staff was very friendly and informative. The park has gates that are closed at 6:00pm for added security. Rates are reasonable at $30 per night with full hook-ups....
