My family and I went last year in august. In the morning the park was not terribly busy but around lunch it started to pick up. Even then the lines weren't to long for tremers and timber terror. As for aftershock, it scared half the people away as I waited my turn. There food is also at a very reasonable price at the restaurant there. There food was very delicious, and I recommend eating there if you go.
