We first heard about Jetty Park when we drove down to witness the shuttle launch. We loved the place so we stopped at the office on the way out and booked in a week after speedweeks in Daytona. Can't say any negative about Jetty Park Campground. We really have only positive things to say.
We really enjoyed watching the cruise ships go in and out. The submarine coming in and leaving port was also exciting.

Jetty Park & Campground is the worst campground that I have ever been. I don't even know where to start. The roads around the campground are neglected dusty limestone trails. Go slow. There's potholes big enough to swallow small cars. The sites. OMG! They suck! There are a few sites with concrete slabs but most are worn out spots in a grassy field. We were very excited to be at Jetty Park, until dark. They dredge the water there 24/7/365. However, they dredge the water right in front of the campground from midnight until 7 am. The lights from the dredger were so bright we didn't need camp lanterns, and so loud that it was difficult to get to sleep. It was like falling asleep in Central Park. Arrived at the park to view the shuttle launch and found out it was delayed a day. No fault of the park. The sites were nice and an easy walk to the beach and pier. Concession stand was never open. No bait or ice ever available so bring your own. The fishing pier was great. but gets busy early. Even though our dog met the weight limits still had a park employee question it. We stayed at Jetty Park campground 3 nights at the end of February, beginning of March 2006. The park is at a excellent location and is next to the Port Canaveral inlet to the Atlantic Ocean and has a really nice fishing pier. We called and made reservations and also was told there was a bait shop available. A restaurant was going to open soon, they told us probably the day after we left.
