5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars We love this place! - from TripAdvisor.com
Delaware Seashore State Park is a wonderful place to visit. We camp in an RV and it is the only Delaware State Park to offer full hook ups which is very helpful! The sites are pull through style and have a paved surface. The balance of the site is mostly sand and be warned that there is no shade whatsoever. This never poses a problem for us because we have an awning, but if you don't it could prove to be a scorcher. The fishing from the Jetty is fantastic. You do, however, need a fishing license. You can get them online or at the park. A seven day pass runs you about $13.00. The beach is to die for and it is an easy walk under the bridge to the guarded beaches. The shower houses are newly remodeled and very nice. There is a wonderful playground for the kids to exhaust themselves. If you get bored at the campground you are smack dab in the middle of Rehoboth Beach and Ocean City, MD so you can take your pick. I don't think I would want to tent camp here, it looks pretty crammed and there is, again, no shade. The only downfall for us is that campfires are banned, but all in all we love this place!

4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars Clean, not too buggy, and quiet - from TripAdvisor.com
My husband and I tent camped here for one night. Although they do not allow campfires (which is a MAJOR downer, in our opinion), we liked this campground. It was quiet, I think the ranger did a nice job of keeping the place managed. It was very clean, even the bathrooms and showers were quite nice. We did not find the campground to be too buggy, just normal buggy for a campground. The dumpster areas were not nasty like I've seen at other camps. The beach was about a 10 minute walk away, which I was kind of surprised by, since I thought the campsites were a bit closer to the beach. The second day, we used the pass that the campground gave us to park free at Tower Beach, up the road, so we could get in another beach day before heading back home. We just wish we could have had a fire, but we do understand the reasons for the prohibition- open field and very breezy + fire = not good.

1.0 stars1.0 stars1.0 stars1.0 stars1.0 stars Terrible place to camp - from TripAdvisor.com
Delaware Seashore State Park is the worse place to camp. I have only complaints because there really was nothing wonderful about this campground. We were camping in tents for the weekend. This place is so buggy and there is no shade so if you go, take your RV with AC and not a tent. It was terribly hot and the bathhouse water was scalding hot. The campground host doesn't really care how hot it is because he is staying in his luxury RV.

The beach was beautiful, but all Delaware beaches are so find a different place to stay. Consider yourself warned!

if you would enjoy camping in a 20'x40' sand lot with tents on 5' on each side of you and paying $34 a night for the privilege, then by all means go ahead. I didn't sleep well because you would hear: neighbors conversations, lights glaring in from cars driving thru camp area, US 1 traffic 200' away. Of course if you had a $200k RV, things might have been better. Make sure you bring a tarp with screen as there is zero shade and bugs come out from tidal lagoon 10' away, at sunset. If you fish the inlet is right there, if you surf, forget it because you can only surf the North side of the inlet which means walking 1 mile, up and down stairs that go up and over bridge 100', or you could drive a few miles to make u-turn to go North and exit on North side and still walk 500' from parking area. Read 'big pain'. Don't ask the gate attendants where to go for groceries, they send you south to a local grocer, whose cousin works as the attendant. Here you'll find the scariest looking meats and produce fit for a lagoon rat.

5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars5.0 stars Best beach in Delaware - from TripAdvisor.com
Admission (2007) is now $8 per car, but it is good all day and is good for the entire park (not just the beach). The best beach in Delaware by far! Gradual entry into the water (unlike Rehoboth or OC), large waves further out suitable for true surfing (not just belly boards). Extremely easy access from the parking lot to the beach for toting beach stuff. WWII observation towers on premise.

4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars4.0 stars One of the nicest beaches on the East Coast - from TripAdvisor.com
As a native Marylander, I've had the pleasure of making many trips to the Atlantic beaches year after year. I've not only spent weeks at a time exploring the coast, but have a habit of making day trips to the beach since it's basically less than 3 hours away. Of all the beaches I've visited, I really have to say that Delaware Seashore State Park is one of my very favorite. I've found in comparison to the likes of Ocean City, the water as well as the beach itself is much cleaner. The crowds are less as compared to Rehobeth even in the height of the season which is a main attraction to me. It feels like the way a beach should feel with sandy stretches of dunes instead of high-rise high rent condos as well as t-shirt and junk food venues everywhere. The only real drawback is that later in the day, the bathhouse, particularly the women's, gets pretty funky because people don't understand that they need to pack their trash out. I think the signs should be more obvious about this matter when you enter the park, because the bathroom becomes overfilled with trash, mainly from food products, but also from some other pretty unsavory sources. It's sad that the human species seems incapable of being able to visit such a place of beauty without spoiling it due to laziness and I guess what can be considered a lack of respect and social skills and utter ignorance. Other than that problem, I would say that the 5 dollars usage fee is quite a fair price considering how our parks system is in need of a financial boost for their maintenance.
