We really enjoyed our stay at Cape Henlopen State Park. The sites on the outer loop offered some privacy and all sites were wooded. The ground was soft and sandy. The bugs weren't too bad at the site but out on the trails, ouch we got bit up. Take the hike to the great sand dune, it's worth it, it doesn't look like it belongs in Delaware.

My wife and I camped there in a tent for a night. I am a fairly novice camper and it was my wife's first time camping.
Pluses:
The campground is very beautiful and well maintained. The area is absolutely beautiful. Someone said to me that they hope people do not find out about this because it will spoil it.
Its located only a mile from the ocean.
The staff both at the park is very helpful.
There were no problems with noise after hours...

My Canadian family has just returned from what has been declared "Our best family vacation ever". Which is really something when you consider that we are competing against Walt Disney and Canada Wonderland. Among other things we stayed for 5 nights at the Cape Henlopen State Park Campground.
