Good For Families!

We stayed here in our travel trailer with our 3 kids (6, 8, 10 yrs) during July 2008. The campground is tucked behind a cow pasture so the noise of the main highway is muted. We spent a few days just hanging out at camp. They have a lake with a swimming area (not huge but big enough), the kids fished in their well stocked lake and caught a few trout, and they also have a playground. If you forgot a ball, no problem, you can get one from their bucket of balls kept at the office.
I left off one star because the bathrooms/showers were just okay, kind of outdated, and the laundry room was not appealing. Two old looking sets of washers and dryers, they probably did the trick but both areas could be updated. I took some luke warm to cold showers.
The campground is kinda central to Burney Falls, Mt. Lassen & the lava tube. I also recommend UC Berkeleys radio astronomy site that's really close, my kids enjoyed it and it's free.
