Great but cold! - from TripAdvisor.com

Most of these reviews aren't for the actual campground, and when I came on here to get advice, I couldn't find any! We decided to book a rim site for 2 nights in May of 2008, right after that cold front during Memorial Day weekend. The rim sites are suppose to have great views of the rim, which it did, but know that the "view" is actually a short 2 minute walk from the actual site. We had site #16. Nice site, shaded with ponderosa pine trees. It...

Grand Canyon North Rim Lodge - from TripAdvisor.com
We stayed for 2 nights at the Grand Canyon Lodge from June 27-29. We drove up from Las Vegas which took about 5.5 hrs.
We had reserved a motel room about 8 months in advance. The room was small but very clean and had every thing you need. You really don't go to the Grand Canyon to hang out in the room. Shampoo, soap, hair dryer, coffeemaker were all provided. There was an ice maker and soda machine nearby. The rooms had a ceiling fan and...

North Rim Lodge at the Grand Canyon - from TripAdvisor.com

Though the Grand Canyon is one of the wonders of the world, it's out in the middle of nowhere in northern Arizona. There are three main ways to see this incredible natural wonder: the North Rim, the South Rim, and that glass-bottomed bridge.
The only hotel available inside the North Rim of the National Park, the North Rim Lodge was built in the 30's, and is a wonderful historical specimen. Visitors actually stay in cabins that surround the...

Can strongly recommend the North Rim lodge - from TripAdvisor.com

We spent 4 nights at the North Rim lodge in August. We were in a Western Cabin, which is definitely worth the small extra cost over other cabins - more space and in a better part of the site. Cabins are simple but comfortable. From our cabin we had views of the Canyon in two directions - spectacular, this has to be one of the world's great hotel rooms. The hotel amenities are limited but good quality - meals in the main restaurant are fine and...

GC North Rim Campground a good place - from TripAdvisor.com
This campground rates high in my book because it is located in a forest at the rim of the canyon. Campsites are widely spaced and many have some view of the canyon through the trees. Paved pull throughs are handy for bigger RVs and 5th wheels. The big pines give plenty of shade for chilling out during the heat of the day.
On the downside, it's a bit of a hike from some locations up to the one cleaning site for dishes. Also, my site was a...
