Nice, but new
|

Very nice place, nice sites, friendly staff, however it is new and no picnic tables, no fire rings and lots of dust. Would stay here again because of the views and the friendly staff

We picked the dead of winter (Dec 26 to Dec 30, 2006) to try out the brand new Grand Canyon Railroad RV Resort. Even with 2 winter snowstorms hitting us during our 4 day stay, we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The park is laid out well. The streets are easy to negotiate with long RVs. There are "buddy spaces" so you can travel with friends and open awnings facing each other. All the amenities are there and working. The pictures online don't do it justice. It is better then the photos for a change! Fantastic clean, fresh bathrooms and laundry, nice outdoor BBQ area and awning, with a big pit style fire pit. This place is so new that they haven't bought the picnic tables for the sites but they are on the way. If you have pets you are going to love the special accommodations including cat apartments! Wild!
My only complaint is the pool and jacuzzi are located at the hotel which is quite a hike but they have a shuttle to take you there. I hope they consider a separate po
