A great base for a Grand Canyon visit - from TripAdvisor.com

We booked this accommodation as a change from staying in motels and we were so pleased we did!
It was about an hour to the Grand Canyon, our main reason for the visit, and a very straightforward trip. We were given lots of info by the camp managers as well as discount vouchers.

Had just gotten new managers - from TripAdvisor.com

This KOA had just changed managers, and wasn't well run at the time (Dec 03/Jan 04). Our cabin smelled of animal urine. The showers were on timers, and the water never got hot at all, which was horrible during the cold winter. The mats in the shower were uncomfortable and hurt my feet. And I'm used to roughing it, so if I complain, then something is not good!
This KOA is in the prettiest area though, surrounded by tons of pines - I just hope...

This campground was terrific! We stayed 3 nights and loved it. After being in Las Vegas at a concrete campground, this KOA truly had a camping aura. They have an indoor pool, great store and lots for the family to do. We took the train to the Grand Canyon as well as the tour coach and that was great too.
