Great place for camping - from TripAdvisor.com

My husband and I camped at the Noccalula Falls Campground in the Spring. We had a wonderful time hiking under the falls. Our grandchildren came the next day and rode the train and went to the petting zoo. We all loved it and we will be back soon. The gardens were beautiful. If you are a nature lover you will enjoy the experience. It's better if you are coming back to buy a season pass. It will pay for it's self.

If your objective is to drive up to the falls, run out of your car and look at the falls for 1 minute, then run back home to "blog," then believe the reviews fussing about admission fees.
If you have any modicum of maturity, you will appreciate the effort the park folks have put into the park's appearance. Flora is everywhere, vibrant, and beautiful. The relocated historic buildings (including a covered bridge) are interesting, and the petting zoo, the train, everything is covered by the $6.00 fee.
I saw a llama, a mountain lion, a real lion, an alligator, a goat, and I pet a calf, and an antique tractor & grist mill.
I hiked under the falls.
Even the gift shop wasn't at ripoff prices.
In all, I wish all parks were as well met to the dollar as this one is.

Skip the $6 train ride. It isn't worth it...I don't care who you are. You can see everything you need to see from the free admission part of the park. Nice & clean.

Don't pay the $6 for admission to Noccalula Park. Go to the next light and turn in to the parking lot. There is a sidewalk that brings you to the falls. The falls are very cool and my wife enjoyed feeding the ducks. ($.25 corn vending machines). Don't pass this up!

Just outside of the park is the best. The park is small and nothing special. Not worth the $6.00 admission. I went inside the park and walked around and thought I'd get a better view of the falls there but I didn't. I got a much better view of the falls for free outside of the park. Tip: Turn into the big parking lot on the right before you get to the park. (This is if you're coming off of I-59). There is a walking path and you can get the best photos right there. I really enjoyed feeding the muscovy ducks. They look very unique. I found one of those machines you put a quarter in and received corn to feed the ducks. I saw some cute mallard ducks there, too. Also saw an arrogant rooster strutting around. I didn't see any ducks inside the park. They have a nice gift shop at the park but you don't need to pay admission to go inside and shop.

We visited Noccalula Park with our 3 year old and had a wonderful time. I strongly advise any first timers to ride the train first, before walking through the park. The view of the waterfall is absolutely breathtaking. The staff is extremely helpful and pleasant and the animals, pioneer houses, and landscape was breathtaking.
An absolute gem of an attraction-loved every minute and will be returning soon!

We spent a great day at the falls, with a train ride included.We were camping at the camp ground next to the falls, so we were very close to the attraction. We went to a great flea market while we were in gadsden, it was very close to the city and had tons od stuff to buy. Over -all we had a great time and look for ward to going back this year.
