Desert Gardens RV Park Quartzsite AZ
This is an old well kept park. The spaces are large with sewer water and electric(only 30 amp). It's easy to get to all the shows from here. We had a great time in Jan 2008.

Where not to stay.
I planned a group meeting with the owner in November of 2007 for a meeting that would take place in May of 2008. All the prices were set, including discounts and food costs. In March of 2008 the owner left, leaving no notes to the next owner. The current owners were unwilling to work with me concerning any prices and our group meeting came in fully $600 over the original budget for a two-day meeting. Not to mention their restaurant's wait staff was completely inexperienced and unequipped to handle even a moderate sized group of people. The campgrounds were unmaintained, the roads connecting the campsites were heavily rutted, the cabins were ant-infested, or completely uninhabitable because of disrepair. There was no toilet paper in the women's restrooms for the length of our stay, and on top of all of this the mill is completely off-limits. If you're planning group or just family vacations to the Tecumseh, MO area, skip Dawt Mill, it just isn't worth the hassle or the money

Impressed
Nice large lots, most of which were pull through. Very scenic area. Clean facilities. They separate short stay customers from the longer, permanent customers. This works out well. They have an RV wash station. We didn't have the time to use it but wish more places had this. Average pool and lounge area. We will return the next time we are in the area.

How Do They Determine If It Is A Resort?
This place was more like a trailer park and not a resort. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. There were no pull through sites and the sites were very close to one another. The restrooms were clean and the laundry facilities were very nice as well. There was a huge library, a nice game room with puzzles, games and pool tables, and even an office area where you could make copies or work on the computers.

No Frills
This place had a great staff, the best jets on the Jacuzzi and the landscaping was fabulous. There was a serene area behind the library and office area with many plants, seats and picnic tables to relax. It was after season for them and the place was fairly empty, only a few seasonals were left and luckily we were able to use our discount card since many of the amenities and activities had ended.

A Perfect Family Day
If you're looking for Okatoma Canoe Rentals to float Mississippi's only white water, then I cannot recommend Seminary Canoe Rental more highly. A family owned business, they are located right on the banks of the Okatoma. My trip included my mother, older brother and sister, several nieces and nephews, my wife and children. We went down for a weekday trip in canoes and it could not have been more perfect. In fact, we didn't even run into one other person the entire route. The Class I rapids were a bit of a challenge for those who had never done any white water. Rope swings along the way and sandy beaches made great stops along the way. Perhaps the best part is at the end of the trip, you pull out you canoe (or kayak) and you have hot showers and clean restrooms waiting and you're car is right there. No waiting for pick-ups. In addition to canoe rentals, Seminary Canoe Rental also offers cabins, RV hook-ups and tent sites, all right on the banks of the Okatoma.

Location, location, location
Great location just north of Nags Head and steps from the beach. Friendly management. Other than that though, there is not much else to brag about. No amenities (pool, laundry, etc) onsite. Mostly permenant residents.

WHR Private Membership
This is a very nice park right on the Colorado River...that means the sound of water toys all day long...that was not annoying to us and we were basically right on the river. The entire park was well maintained, clean and all folks were very friendly. The sites were a good size for us...we fit fine but had to manipulate our tow to fit on the spot...we noticed many other tow vehicles parked on the site next to them which at this time would not be a problem since season is over here but would be a problem during prime season. The pool and spa was fabulous, clean and the perfect temperature. Doing our laundry was the best we have done...a lounge area where we were able to watch the Busch Race and I was able to work on a puzzle...time just flew by doing our wash. April 2008 - We would love to visit again but we would need to be a member for future visits which is not likely since this type of membership even though better than buying a lot is just not worth it for our way of traveling.
